CDVCA's 10th Anniversary Conference Highlights

March 3-5, 2004 in New York City

CDVCA's 10th Annual Conference was held at the Westin New York in Times Square from March 3-5, 2004. Over 240 participants gathered to reflect on and celebrate the past decade of community development venture capital, to consider the future of the field, and to learn from the more than 50 leaders in the field who presented at a wide variety of sessions.

Conference sessions included:

Other conference highlights included a luncheon address by Sir Ronald Cohen, Executive Chairman of APAX Partners Worldwide, Chairman of the U.K. Social Investment Task Force, and Chairman of the U.K's first CDVC fund, Bridges Community Ventures, an evening celebration at Madame Tussaud's wax museum, the awarding of the second annual CDVCA Excellence Awards, and CDVCA's first ever venture fair.

CDVCA's special thanks go to Citibank and the Citigroup Foundation, lead sponors of the event. We also thank JPMorganChase, Deutsche Bank, the National Venture Capital Association, Wachovia, HSBC, Key Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Greenpoint Bank Foundation for their generous support. We also thank all the speakers and volunteers whose hard work and preparation made for an outstanding event.
